Bureau Veritas Thailand's Agricultural Products Department recently conducted an in-house "Rice Inspection Training Course" for Golden Granary Co., Ltd., one of Thailand's leading rice exporters. The training was facilitated by Suwithai Somsri, Operations Manager of the Agricultural Products Division at Bureau Veritas Thailand.
Thai rice is a key export commodity recognized by buyers worldwide. Maintaining quality and compliance with importing countries' standards are critical factors that build customer confidence and ensure successful international trade.
This training program was designed to develop the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs, exporters, quality control officers, and relevant staff. Participants learned to conduct inspections correctly according to established standards. The curriculum covered fundamental knowledge of Thai rice, rice quality inspection principles, sampling procedures and physical analysis, quality assessment based on Thai and importing country standards, product and packaging condition checks, packaging and handling process controls, and inspection report preparation and export documentation.
Trainees studied real-world case studies to reduce risks from buyer complaints, minimize inspection errors, and enhance the credibility of inspection results throughout the export process.
